Springtime and the fun begins May 13 2013, 0 Comments

Hi how are you all? I'm sure you will be delighted to have had some warm sunny days at long last, at least I know I am and what a difference it makes to peoples attitudes, happy, smiling faces and lots of lovely chit chat chat instead of the downcast, gloomy faces over the last few months.

Its been a very busy time here in my little workshop, I'm designing a range of polymer pieces inspired by nature, using flowers, colours, form and movement. I take hundreds of photos everywhere I go to gain my inspiration and all my ideas are my own quirky original artwork.

I have used some traditional handmade viking weave on some of the designs, this is woven over a wooden dowel and then pulled through a draw plate to tighten the weave, it is strong, flexible and absolutely beautiful but as you can appreciate takes many hours and a degree of O.C.D to get it neat and tidy. I have made some bracelets and included it in some of the polymer designs.

This last weekend I was fortunate enough to take part in the wonderful, vibrant Lindfield Arts festival which ran from Friday evening for invited guests through the weekend for the public. The response was unbelievable, fabulous people, great comments and sales and some amazing new arty friends. Cant wait for next year.

This week I have a mother, daughter photo shoot with my 17 year old which will feature in a portfolio of a local photographer. A pamper evening in Steyning on Wednesday 6-9pm in aid of breast cancer research and a craft fair in Steyning on Saturday. Several orders from the weekend to complete, as well as a networking coffee morning here and a hair and osteopath appointment to fit in.

Its great being busy but now its time for a coffee, Wishing you a wonderful week and don't forget to shout if there is anything I can help you with xx
