Aphrodite, Greek Goddess of love, beauty and pleasure, was exquisitely beautiful. She married Hephaestus, the God of smithing, who forged her jewellery which made her even more alluring.
Standing on a deserted golden beach in Mauritius, I felt the joy of being surrounded by what seemed to be the most breathtaking beauty I could stand. When a vast sanguine sunset began to play out along the skyline however, I thought of Aphrodite and how something so unbelievably beautiful could be made even more so.
The red coral in my Aphrodite jewellery came from my travels to Mauritius – not far from that beach! – and, with the copper and rose gold coloured wire as well as orange jade on the bracelet, the colours reflect those of that magnificent evening.
Coral symbolises life and energy, as well as being said to be protective to the wearer. Orange jade is believed to bring joy and aid connection (although, when you’re wearing Aphrodite, connection is not likely to be a problem).
The necklace is finished with a solid copper safety clasp and handmade extension chain. The bracelet also features a magnetic copper clasp for ease of use. The delicate matching earrings are finished with Niobium ear wires, which are totally nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
Due to the unique nature of handmade products every piece will be slightly different meaning yours will be totally exclusive to you.
I take great pride in ensuring my designs are of a very high quality and as beautiful on the reverse as the front. Many can be worn either way for a different effect.
